Agent says Antonio Brown contacted by ‘a few teams that are interested’

Despite allegations of sexual assault and sexual misconduct, and despite a cycle of behavior that has seen Antonio Brown burn bridges with three teams since last December, there are teams at least sniffing around about the seven-time Pro Bowl receiver.

Brown was released by the New England Patriots on Friday. On Saturday, his agent shared that he’s been in communication “with a few teams that are interested” in Brown, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Of course, there is the caveat that these teams want to know what’s going on with Brown’s legal situation, along with the NFL’s investigation into his conduct.

The NFL sent out a statement Friday evening that strongly suggests Brown could land on the Commissioner’s exempt list if a team does sign him.

The league is currently investigating Brown over the allegations, and because he sent what was determined to be “intimidating” text messages to one of the women.

So, while teams are likely interested in Brown’s talent, it seems unlikely that they’d be interested in the baggage he comes with at this time.
