LeSean McCoy reportedly could sign with the Chargers amid Melvin Gordon holdout

Will pending legal troubles hurt LeSean McCoy?

As we predicted earlier this summer, the Buffalo Bills released six-time Pro Bowl running back LeSean McCoy, who should land on his feet soon.

According to Josh Reed of CBS affiliate WIVB-TV in Buffalo, the Los Angeles Chargers are a potential landing spot for the veteran.

The Chargers reportedly are growing increasingly frustrated with Melvin Gordon, who has held out all summer and appears ready to remain away during the regular season.

McCoy looked sharp this preseason but was ultimately let go by Buffalo because rookie Devin Singletary emerged as a premier weapon this summer.

The Chargers have a solid offensive line and a dynamic passing attack, led by veteran Philip Rivers. McCoy would fit in beautifully with the team’s offensive approach and could be had at a bargain rate compared to what Gordon is seeking. Additionally, McCoy could pursue a title with one of the best teams in the AFC if he signs with the Chargers.

With that in mind, it wouldn’t be surprising at all to see McCoy end up in Los Angeles playing for the Bolts this season.
