The Golden State Warriors have locked up star forward Draymond Green through the 2022 season with a four-year, $100 million contract extension.

The deal runs through the 2023-23 season, however Green reportedly became the first Warriors star in this dynasty run to receive a player option on a long-term deal, per Shams Charania of The Athletic, and can opt out in the summer of 2023.

Green was heading into a lame-duck season, prior to this contract extension, and was set to earn just over $18.5 million.

One of the team’s key assets the past handful of years, Green has helped the Warriors win three championships, earning All-Defensive First Team honors three times and the 2017 Defensive Player of the Year award.
