WATCH: Stephen Strasburg hits fourth career homer

It was an eventful third inning for Washington Nationals ace Stephen Strasburg against the Atlanta Braves Thursday evening.

Interestingly enough, it came at the plate and on the bases, not on the bump.

Not necessarily known for his bat, Strasburg entered Thursday night’s game hitting .141 with three career homers in nine-plus seasons.

With his Nats up 5-1, Strasburg took to the plate for the second time in the inning. What followed was a three-run blast off Braves hurler Touki Toussaint. It traveled 420 feet and was absolutely amazing to see.

Earlier in the inning, Strasburg had to round the bases after an Adam Eaton fly ball got past Braves left fielder Ronald Acuna Jr. That was nowhere near as pretty.

All said, Strasburg drove in three runs and scored two in that inning alone. Not too shabby for a pitcher.
