JaMychal Green takes less money to re-sign with Clippers on two-year, $10 million deal

The Los Angeles Clippers recently added Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, and now they’re bringing back one of their own in JaMychal Green.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Green is finalizing a two-year, $10 million deal to return to the Clippers and turned down more money from other teams so he could “pursue a championship with the Clippers.”

Green, 29, has been a valuable bench player for the past few years in the NBA. Following a mid-season trade from Memphis to Los Angeles, he averaged 8.7 points and 6.5 rebounds per game for the Clippers.

A 6-foot-9 forward who can hit from beyond the arc (36.9 percent from three for his career) Green’s experience and game suits Los Angeles to a T.

He has a versatile game that gives the Clippers another dynamic weapon with which to create mismatches on offense, and his length creates problems on the perimeter defensively.
