Grady Jarrett agrees to four-year, $68 million deal with Falcons, per report

The Atlanta Falcons have secured one of the league’s best young interior defensive linemen for the foreseeable future, as Grady Jarrett has agreed to terms on a long-term deal.

Jarrett, who signed his franchise tag earlier this year, is reportedly inking a four-year, $68 million contract just ahead of the deadline to get a deal done, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Originally a fifth-round pick out of Clemson in 2015, Jarrett has transformed himself into a dynamo inside as a member of the Falcons.

Following his rookie season, Jarrett earned a full-time starting role in 2016. Since then, he’s tallied 13 sacks, along with 155 tackles starting 44 games. The 26-year-old star appears to be getting better with age as well, so if he stays healthy this likely won’t be the last big-money deal he signs in the NFL.
