Avery Bradley to sign with Lakers after clearing waivers, per report

Avery Bradley will clear waivers on Monday, and once he does, the guard is planning on signing a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Adrian Wojnarowski, citing Bradley’s agent, Bill Duffy, noted the deal is expected to be worth $9.7 million over the two years, with a player option in the second year.

The 28-year-old veteran is a seasoned player with nine seasons under his belt. He is an adept scorer who excels defensively, averaging one steal per game over the course of his career.

After being traded from Los Angeles to Memphis last season, Bradley averaged 16.1 points and four assists per game. His addition, along with the Lakers re-signing Rajon Rondo, gives Los Angeles a strong veteran backcourt to complement what’s now a dynamic frontcourt featuring Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins.
