Zion Williamson had such crazy odds to go No. 1 overall in the 2019 NBA Draft that you had to bet $100 just to earn $1. Needless to say, it came as no surprise when the New Orleans Pelicans did take him atop the draft.
Though the odds aren’t quite as slanted for the 2020 NBA Rookie of the Year award, he is still clearly the top rookie in this year’s class. Caesars Sportsbook has Williamson well ahead of the field with 1-3 odds with the next man on the list (Ja Morant) coming in at 7-2.
Rounding out the top four, RJ Barrett comes in at 9-2, and Darius Garland is a 10-1 bet.
If Williamson can replicate the success he had during his lone season at Duke at the NBA level, then he will almost certainly walk away with the award next summer.
