Milwaukee Brewers star and reigning NL MVP Christian Yelich is currently on an otherworldly pace. He entered Thursday’s game against the Miami Marlins having hit 22 homers in just 55 games this season.
It didn’t take Yelich much time to add to this total. He blasted a first-inning two-run opposite field homer off Marlins starter Caleb Smith for his 23rd roundtripper of the season. It was a no doubt about her shot.
We’re sure Yelich was happy to send this one to the stands against his former team.
What the outfielder has done this season is absurd. He’s on pace for 67 homers and 148 RBI on the season.
Can you say MVP?
