The Chicago Cubs recently signed former MLB star Carlos Gonzalez to a minor-league deal, and on Monday he played in his first game with the major-league club. Safe to say, he made an immediate impression.
Check out this incredible catch. With the bases loaded, Gonzalez laid out and nearly hit the ivy-covered brick wall to save at least a couple of runs.
That may not quite be worthy of catch-of-the-year consideration considering some of the other amazing web gems we’ve seen this year. Still, we cannot help but be in awe of this spectacular play.
