Star Blue Jays rookie Vladimir Guerrero Jr. interested in Home Run Derby

Toronto Blue Jays star rookie Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has already flashed some serious power at the plate in his short time with the team.

The second-generation MLB star enters Wednesday’s action with six homers in 121 at-bats. While he struggled more than what we saw during an elite minor league career, the dude is going to be a perennial All-Star.

That might not happen this summer. However, Vlad just recently noted that he’d love to take part in the Home Run Derby in Cleveland during All-Star Weekend.

Looking further into it, the younger Guerrero was actually in attendance when his father outlasted Albert Pujols and Prince Fielder, among others, during the 2007 event in San Francisco.

It will be interesting to see if the youngster is invited. In fact, we’d love to see multiple rookies be given a shot. Because, why not?
