Report: Indians’ top prospect Bobby Bradley close to MLB debut

In search of a big shakeup to their lineup, the Cleveland Indians could reportedly soon be turning to first base prospect Bobby Bradley with the hope one of their top prospect can provide a spark in their lineup.

According to Paul Hoynes of Cleveland.com, the Indians could promote Bradley from Triple-A Columbus on Sunday and he could see fairly significant playing time after tearing up minor-league pitching.

Bradley tore the cover off the ball during his time at the Triple-A level. The 23-year-old posted a .292/.359/..638 slash line with 24 home runs, 17 doubles and a .997 OPS in 67 games entering the weekend.

He has exclusively played first base throughout his minor-league career and is below-average defensively at first base. However, his power and plate discipline are exceptional and could help him become a reliable contributor in Cleveland’s lineup as he makes his MLB debut.
