Lakers ticket prices expected to be most expensive in NBA following Anthony Davis trade

The Los Angeles Lakers are suddenly the toast of the NBA once more following the Anthony Davis trade, which is set to spark significant inflation for Lakers ticket prices in 2019-20.

Brett Goldberg, co-CEO of no-fee secondary ticket marketplace, TickPick, expects Lakers ticket prices to top the Association next season.

“With the Lakers landing Anthony Davis, it’s a near lock they’ll have the most expensive ticket heading into the 2019-20 season. After comparing the price jump from the season before LeBron joined the Lakers to last season, we project ticket prices to increase 15 to 20 percent next season with the addition of AD.”

Already, the Lakers are seen as the heavy betting favorite to win the 2020 NBA Finals. Certainly, the expectations are running high in Los Angeles following the Anthony Davis trade.

But there’s more. The Lakers are reportedly trying to add a third superstar to their roster in free agency as well:

If the Lakers are able to get one of these stars to sign, then Goldberg said, “ticket prices could skyrocket to a level we’ve never seen before in the regular season.”

Imagine how crazy these Lakers ticket prices will be if the team actually lives up to the hype and makes it to the 2020 NBA Finals.
