Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard is known as the king of NBA rappers. So when Sacramento Kings power forward Marvin Bagley III came after his title, Lillard didn’t miss firing right back.

Bagley III appeared on ESPN’s First Take on Thursday morning and proclaimed he is the best rapper in the NBA and ready to take on Lillard for the crown whenever he wants.

As “The Wire” taught us, if you come at the king, you best not miss. Bagley III came at the NBA’s rap king and Lillard made sure he would pay for doing just that and challenging his throne.

In the midst of the 2019 NBA Draft, Lillard released his “MARVINNNNNN???” diss track for all to enjoy. The All-Star’s reputation for embarrassing opponents on the court showed up in the studio to with lines that ripped Sacramento’s rookie to shreds.

Lillard didn’t hold back ripping into Bagley’s inexperience, his lack of success and even took shots at Sacramento. He gave Bagley a little respect at the end, but made it clear that there is a lot he still has to learn about rapping and playing in the NBA.
