Believe it not, NFL Hall of Famer Brett Favre says he is coming out of retirement to play in the NFL for the 2020 season.

Or not.

The following was posted on his Instagram account: “A true champion sticks to his or her calling. I will be coming out of retirement and making my return to play in the NFL for the 2020 season. Stay tuned for more #news!”

Shortly afterward, the post was deleted.

Whether he was hacked or a big joke, we’re not sure at this point.

What we do know is that Favre, 49, hasn’t played in the NFL since the 2010 season, and that he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2016. So, if he was really serious about coming back to play, it would be one of the most incredible stories in NFL history.

Though, based on some recent footage of the former star, we’re betting he could still sling it with the best of them.
