WATCH: Rangers’ Joey Gallo unleashes 457-foot grand slam

While all home runs are beautiful to watch, there’s something special about watching Texas Rangers center fielder Joey Gallo drill home runs into another atmosphere.

Late in the game on Friday against the Kansas City Royals, Gallo delivered in the clutch with a jaw-dropping, 457-foot grand slam to give Texas the lead.

Gallo’s towering slam left the bat at 112.6 mph and just the sound it made off the bat immediately signaled to everyone watching that this ball would not be seen again.

The 25-year-old is in the midst of a breakout campaign with Texas thanks to his 16 home runs, 39 RBI and an outstanding 1.043 OPS in 49 games this season.

Because of Gallo’s athleticism and Texas’ willingness to move him around, we are now seeing some insane power from a center fielder.
