DeAndre Hopkins wants Oprah to star in movie about mom’s life

Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is excited for the future movie about the life of his mother Sabrina Greenlee and he knows the perfect person to play her role.

According to an interview with TMZ, the All-Pro receiver thinks Oprah Winfrey would be the perfect actress to take on the powerful role.

The movie will focus on Greenlee, who was left blind after an attack when Hopkins was only 12 years old, and her story of recovery from alcohol abuse and extreme depression.

As Hopkins notes in the interview, his mother has now committed her life to help victims of domestic violence through her S.M.O.O.T.H. program, which Hopkins has helped before.

While it hasn’t been decided who will play Greenlee’s role in the film, the chance to honor all she has overcome and the work she continues to do to this day would be an amazing opportunity for any actress.
