Rodney Hood exits Game 7 with apparent knee injury

Rodney Hood was forced off the court with an apparent knee injury with just over five minutes remaining in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals between the Portland Trail Blazers and Denver Nuggets.

Hood injured his leg on a screen as he was on defense. He appeared to hyperextend his knee before falling to the floor in obvious pain.

The team’s training staff attended to Hood while he was still on a heap near midcourt. A few minutes later, he was helped off the court and into the Portland locker room, unable to walk on his own.

At the time, Portland had clawed back from a nine-point halftime deficit and was just five points behind Denver, 60-55. Hood, the hero of Game 6, had six points in 20 minutes before leaving with the injury.
