EJ Manuel recently signed with the Kansas City Chiefs this offseason, but he has already made the decision to retire, per Field Yates of ESPN.
A former No. 16 overall pick out of Florida State, Manuel spent his first four seasons with the Buffalo Bills. After failing to live up to expectations in Buffalo, he signed a one-year deal with the Oakland Raiders in 2017 and backed up Derek Carr. He re-signed with Oakland in 2018 but was released before the season began when the Raiders landed A.J. McCarron in a trade.
In 30 career NFL games, including 18 starts, Manuel passed for 3,767 yards with 20 touchdowns and 16 interceptions.
