Chances are, you don’t believe that Draymond Green is the best basketball player ever. That doesn’t keep the Golden State Warriors star from having that mindset.
Green explained his mindset on Wednesday. For Green, it’s not a matter of being cocky. Any other mindset, he believes, would be failing.
One may not agree with Green’s assessment of himself. Still, the message is quite powerful. And as it relates to Green, judging by his results, it’s awfully hard to question his mindset.
Green is a three-time All-Star. He has been named All-NBA Second Team once, and All-NBA Third Team another time. He’s also earned NBA All-Defensive First Team honors once and Second Team twice. Additionally, Green was the NBA Defensive Player of the Year in 2017.
That’s quite a resume for anyone, let alone someone who’s not even 30 and was taken in the second round.
