Red Sox SP David Price already playing catch one day after hitting IL

Boston Red Sox starter David Price is on the injured list with a left elbow injury. But the signs point towards his stay being a short one.

Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reported that Price played catch on Tuesday, only one day after being placed on the injured list.

This doesn’t necessarily mean that Price will spend the minimum amount of time on the injured list. But it does bode well for a speedy return.

While he’s had some struggles, Price has been relatively effective in 2019 for the Red Sox. He has a 1-2 record. But over six outings and 36 innings, he’s posted a 3.75 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, and struck out 42 batters.
