WATCH: White Sox go around the horn to turn triple play against Astros

Turning an around the horn triple play is tough. But as the Chicago White Sox showed during Wednesday’s game with the Houston Astros, it’s not impossible.

Houston’s Jake Marisnick hit a sharp grounder right to third base. Yoan Moncada fielded it, stepped on the bag and fired it to second baseman Yolmer Sanchez. Sanchez then threw to first baseman Jose Abreu to complete the play.

Any triple play is hard to turn. But this one is especially notable.

Marisnick isn’t exactly a lumbering catcher or first baseman. Quite the opposite. He’s probably the fastest runner on the Astros and one of the fastest runners in the league.

But in this case, he was not fast enough.
