It was back in 2015 that then New York Giants Pro Bowler Jason Pierre-Paul suffered a serious hand injury in a fireworks accident on the Fourth of July.

Fast forward four years, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ pass rusher is now recovering from another accident.

TMZ Sports notes that the 30-year-old Pierre-Paul crashed his SUV in Broward County, Florida, early Thursday morning.

Emergency personnel rushed to the scene to take JPP to the hospital. The good news? Pierre-Paul apparently suffered minor injuries and was released from the hospital. He’s also not accused of any wrongdoing.

Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times concludes that it wasn’t a major accident.

Acquired from the New York Giants prior to last season, Pierre-Paul recorded 12.5 sacks in his first season with the Buccaneers.

Fortunately, it looks like this accident won’t have a long-term impact on his career and life.
