Blazers’ Damian Lillard dealing with sore hamstring

Damian Lillard

Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers were blown out of the building at Oracle against the Golden State Warriors Tuesday night.

It’s certainly not the way Lillard wanted to return to his home city for Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals.

During the second quarter of said game, Lillard pulled up lame after taking a knee to his hamstring. While he never exited the game, the All-Star noted on Wednesday that it’s sore.

Given that Portland’s backcourt massively struggled defending the Splash Brothers Tuesday night, this is no small thing.

If Lillard is anywhere under 100 percent, it could have an impact on his already questionable defense. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson went for a combined 62 points in the 116-94 win.

Offensively, Lillard attempted 12 total shots in a ho-hum overall performance. Game 2 is Thursday night at Oracle.
