WATCH: Diamondbacks catcher Blake Swihart hits stand-up inside-the-park homer

It’s not often we see inside-the-park homers, especially from catchers. But Arizona Diamondbacks catcher Blake Swihart did that on Wednesday and didn’t even need to slide.

Swihart’s hit nearly left the yard. But it hit off of the wall and bounced away from Pittsburgh Pirates center fielder Starling Marte. That was the opening that Swihart needed to round the bases.

It was the second inside-the-park home run of Swihart’s career.

The home run capped off a game that, aside from a potential injury to Zack Greinke, was a great one for Arizona. The Diamondbacks hit two home runs in a 11-1 blowout win over the Pirates.
