WATCH: Mariners Edwin Encarnacion hits two homers in one inning

Seattle Mariners veteran Edwin Encarnacion is having a grand time of it with his new team early in the 2019 season.

The three-time All-Star entered Monday’s action hitting .300 with two homers, five RBI and a .947 OPS in eight games this season.

Encarnacion added two more homers to his total against the Kansas City Royals on Monday. But that’s not the story here. Rather, it’s that both homers came in the top of the sixth inning. You read that right. Encarnacion belted two homers in one inning.

The first one came off Royals starter Homer Bailey. Later in the inning, Encarnacion blasted a three-run shot off reliever Kevin McCarthy.

This helped the Mariners put up an eight spot against Kansas Ciy in the sixth inning. Well on the way to a 10-2 mark this season, the Mariners are doing a ton of damage at the plate.

Not a a single member of the team is as hot as Encarnacion right now.
