Report: Bud Norris, Nationals have agreement on contract pending physical

With an eye towards upgrading a struggling bullpen, the Washington Nationals have reportedly reached a deal with free agent, Bud Norris.

Brittany Ghiroli of The Athletic reported that the two sides have reached an agreement, with a physical pending.

Hearing from sources Bud Norris agreement is in place with the Nationals. Pending a physical that will take place shortly in Florida.

The Washington bullpen can definitely use the help, as it’s struggled mightily in the early part of the season. Opponents have hit .351 against Nationals relievers, who have a 10.71 ERA. Both are comfortably the worst totals in the league.

Pitching for the St. Louis Cardinals in 2018, Norris posted a 3.59 ERA, 1.249 WHIP, and a 10.5 K/9 rate in 57.2 innings.
