The NFL has yet to release its regular-season schedule for the 2019 campaign. In no way does that mean players haven’t been given a look at it.
New Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. seemed to suggest on social media Wednesday evening that he’s seen the Browns’ schedule.
More importantly, he provided us some insight into who and where the Browns might play Week 1.
Given that Cleveland is not slated to play OBJ’s former New York Giants team, we can do the math from there.
The Browns are set to visit the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium, Beckham’s former stomping grounds for five seasons as a member of the Giants.
We already know that the NFL doesn’t ignore controversy or drama when scheduling games. It would not be a surprise if this were the early-evening Monday Night Football Game for Week 1.
Just imagine OBJ playing on national television inside the stadium that made him famous. We couldn’t ask for more than that to start the 2019 season.
