MLB’s best team getting no love from the home fans

The Tampa Bay Rays have baseball’s best record. But judging by their home attendance, the local fans may not be aware of what’s going on.

Juan Toribio of MLB.com reported that the Rays drew just over 9,000 fans for Wednesday’s game against the Baltimore Orioles.

This is unfortunate.

It’s understandable that the Orioles aren’t exactly a draw. And we get that Tropicana Field isn’t exactly going to draw the casual fan. But with the 8-1 win over Baltimore on Wednesday, Tampa moved to 14-4. And not only are the Rays a good team, but they’re also exciting and have some very fun players to watch.

If you’re a baseball fan in he Tampa area, this team is definitely worth supporting.
