Marco Rubio says Josh Rosen is Dolphins best since Dan Marino

Florida Senator Marco Rubio is not a stranger to hot takes. While most of that has been left up to the political scene, Rubio just recently provided a pretty interesting opinion regarding his homestate Miami Dolphins.

Mere days after acquiring Josh Rosen in a trade with the Arizona Cardinals, Rubio is out here proclaiming the former UCLA standout to be the Dolphins’ best quarterback since Dan Marino.

“He’s the most talented passer we’ve had on the roster since Marino,” the Florida Senator says,” Rubio told TMZ Sports.

As crazy as it might seem, Rubio is probably on to something here. Sure Rosen struggled with a talentless Cardinals team last season. But from a pure passing perspective, he might be the Dolphins’ most-talented signal caller since Dan the Man called it quits back in 1999.

Ryan Tannehill manned the position for six of the past seven seasons with Jay Cutler stepping in back in 2017. The list doesn’t get much better from there.

After all, we’re talking about the likes of Cleo Lemon, Joey Harrington, John Beck and Ray Lucas starting games for Miami since Marino’s retirement.

As it relates to Rosen, he’s pumped to be on a new team and in a new situation. Whether that equates to success remains to be seen.
