Tuesday’s game against the Golden State Warriors will almost certainly be the last for Anthony Davis as a member of the New Orleans Pelicans. And he’s dressed for the occasion.
Davis arrived at the arena with a shirt that simply read, “That’s All Folks.”
Davis was the source of heavy trade rumors around the trade deadline. While no deal got done then, the relationship between the player and team is clearly broken.
Of course, it’s technically possible that this shirt is just Davis’ way of honoring Porky Pig here. But we’re going to put that in the “highly unlikely” folder. This is a clear message to the Pelicans and pretty much anyone watching.
At least he’s not being vague about anything.
