Josh Rosen expected to report to Cardinals offseason program, per report

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Josh Rosen might not be a member of the team when minicamps get going later in the offseason.

Subjected to trade rumors over the past couple months, the 2018 first-round pick could very well be traded here soon. It all depends on whether Arizona does what seems likely and selects fellow quarterback Kyler Murray No. 1 overall in this month’s NFL Draft.

According to this report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, trade rumors won’t impact Rosen’s off-season plans. He’s expected to report to the start of the team’s off-season program on Monday.

As Schefter noted, this is an exception to the rule. Multiple players seemingly on the block have decided against reporting.

That included running back Duke Johnson of the Cleveland Browns. His former teammate, Emmanuel Ogbah, also decided against reporting before ultimately being dealt to the Chiefs last week.

The latest rumors surrounding Rosen has him heading to the Washington Redskins. But with nothing done on that front, he’s going to be with the Cards on Monday.
