Eagles sign former AAF star QB Luis Perez, per report

The Philadelphia Eagles are adding to their quarterback room after losing former Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles in free agency.

According to ESPN’s Adam Caplan, Philadelphia is signing former AAF star quarterback Luis Perez.

Perez, 24, had previously worked out for the Eagles. Apparently they liked what the saw from the former Texas A&M-Commerce and Birmingham Iron star.

An unknown heading into the first and only AAF season, Perez put up an awe inspiring campaign in the now defunct league.

Perez spent training camp and the preseason with the Los Angeles Rams last season. He now has a good chance to break camp as a member of the Eagles’ 53-man roster.
