Bryce Harper is back in Washington D.C. for a two-game series against his old team, the Washington Nationals. His welcome isn’t likely to be a warm one.
The new Philadelphia Phillies star will almost certainly be booed, based on the stuff fans in D.C. are putting out there on social media.
One of those fans is none other than Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, who tweeted, then deleted, an image depicting Harper wearing the uniform of famous traitor Benedict Arnold.
Thankfully, the Internet never forgets.
It’s worth pointing out that the Phillies would be off to a historic start if they win their fourth game in a row to open up the season. So, this first reunion in D.C. is just loaded with juicy subplots.
