An unknown to many prior to the inaugural season of the AAF, quarterback Luis Perez caught onlookers by surprise with a brilliant performance for the Birmingham Iron.
With the Alliance now folded, Perez is setting his sights on bigger things. According to NFL insider Adam Caplan, the former Texas A&M-Commerce star will workout with the Philadelphia Eagles next week.
Perez, 24, spent training camp with the Los Angeles Rams last season. If signed, he’ll compete for a backup spot behind Carson Wentz now that Nick Foles is on the Jaguars.
