Mere days after signing guard Rodger Saffold to a lucrative four-year contract, the Tennessee Titans have moved on from one of their centerpieces a long the offensive line.
The team announced Friday morning that it has released guard Josh Kline after he started all 16 games for Tennessee each of the past two seasons.

Kline, 29, re-signed on a four-year, $26 million deal with the Titans last March after having been picked up off waivers from his original Patriots team back in 2016. He started 46 of a possible 48 games with Tennessee.
Unfortunately for Kline, he struggled big time this past season. According to Pro Football Focus metrics, the veteran graded out as the 53rd-best guard in the NFL.
Tennessee saves north of $3.2 million against the 2019 cap by releasing him.
