The New York Giants are continuing their flurry of offseason activity. According to a report, they’ve signed free agent pass-rusher Markus Golden.

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Media broke the news.

Golden was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft out of Missouri. In four seasons in Arizona, he recorded 19 sacks and forced six fumbles.

Golden’s best career season was 2016, when he sacked the quarterback 12.5 times and forced four fumbles. Since then, it’s been more of a struggle. In 2018, Golden had only 2.5 sacks and was in on 30 tackles.

The good news for Golden and the Giants is that he’s only 28. So, there’s plenty of time to find the form that he had three years ago.

In this offseason, New York has traded Odell Beckham Jr., said its goodbyes to Landon Collins, signed Corey Coleman, Golden Tate, and now Golden. The Giants are definitely staying active, if nothing else.
