The Buffalo Bills sought out to provide skill-position weapons for young quarterback Josh Allen during free agency.
They did just that by signing running back Frank Gore as well as wide receivers John Brown and Cole Beasley.
At the very least, this gives Allen a lot more to work with as the erratic signal caller looks to take that next step as a sophomore.
In a pretty hilarious anecdote from Brown’s introductory press conference on Thursday, the receiver tossed an underhanded compliment in Allen’s direction. He did so without even knowing the irony of it all.
#Bills WR John Brown: There aren't quarterbacks who I would say could overthrow me but Josh Allen can.
Allen was the first person to call me from the Bills when I signed.

Let’s just hope for the sake of everyone involved in Western New York that this doesn’t happen too often. Allen entered the NFL last season with serious questions about his accuracy. Said questions dated all the way back to his high school years.
While the No. 7 overall pick played much better than most anticipated, accuracy remained an issue. Allen completed just 52.8 percent of his passes as a rookie. Hopefully Brown can help him with that.
