The Portland Trail Blazers were forced into double overtime Monday night against the Brooklyn Nets.
But that’s not the real story here. Instead, it’s the gruesome leg injury Blazers star Jusuf Nurkic suffered in the second extra stanza.
We’re going to go ahead and link it here rather than show the video. Be prepared, it’s graphic. Jurkic was seen in pain on the court as his Blazers teammates looked on visibly shaken.
Eventually, the center was stretchered off the court to an applause from the crowd in Portland.
Needless to say, the Blazers will be without their star center for the remainder of the season. The hope here is that the injury isn’t as bad as it looked.
The 24-year-old center is averaging 15.4 points and 10.3 rebounds during what has been a career year for him.
