New York Mets left fielder and former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow is one busy man. Roughly two years ago, Tebow helped produce a movie called “Run the Race.” The movie will premiere nationwide on Friday.

The movie is about two brothers who play high school football and also face difficult personal circumstances.

Tebow described the premise of the movie in more detail here:

“‘Run the Race’ is about so much more than football,” Tim Tebow said in a press release (h/t Alabama Life & Culture). “This is a story about overcoming the hard issues of life, about the power of sacrifice, the power of family, and the power of forgiveness, I love being a part of a project like this because it will impact lives, inspire hope, and even prompt action. When I read the script, I knew this was an important project to get behind.”

Tebow is all about philanthropy and working with causes that personally tug at his heart. Hardly a day goes by when he is not engaged in some type of random act of kindness or working with his charity.

As for his movie, it includes many scenes filmed at the campus of Birmingham Southern College in the state of Alabama. Sports buffs should certainly consider giving this film a viewing.
