The NBA investigated whether the Los Angeles Lakers committed any tampering violations involving Philadelphia 76ers guard Ben Simmons, and found nothing.

The entire kerfuffle centered around Magic Johnson offering to help Simmons, whom he said reached out to learn from the legendary former point guard.

The Lakers have been fined by the NBA recently for tampering with other high-profile players, and Johnson has seemed to struggle with the nuances of running a front office.

However, as things unfolded on Monday following the announcement that the Association was investigating this, it seemed unlikely it would yield any fruit. In the end, it was much ado about nothing.
