Kings’ Marvin Bagley leaves game with knee injury, will get MRI

The Sacramento Kings remain one of the most surprising stories in the NBA. They entered Wednesday’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks with a 31-29 record and a real shot at the playoffs for the first time in ages.

Unfortunately for the Kings, they could be dealing with a long-term injury to stud rookie forward Marvin Bagley.

The No. 2 overall pick in last year’s NBA Draft suffered a left knee sprain Wednesday evening and exited the game. He’s slated to get an MRI on Thursday.

Bagley missed 13 games with an injury to the same knee back in December. Since returning, he’s been on absolute fire.

The former Duke standout is averaging 15.7 points and 8.6 rebounds in the 20 games since returning. It’s not a surprise that the Kings are 12-8 during that span.
