In a move that can’t be considered too surprising, the Dallas Cowboys have decided to move on from former starting wide receiver Terrance Williams.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Dallas has declined the $3.5 million option on Williams for next season.

This comes less than two years after Dallas handed the former third-round pick a four-year, $17 million deal to remain in Big D.

Pretty much a full-time starter from 2013-17, Williams fell out of favor big time in Dallas this past season.

It started with an off-field situation and an ultimately three-game suspension for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.

With the Cowboys having acquired Amari Cooper during the 2018 season, Williams never really saw the field. He appeared in three games — catching just two passes for 18 yards.

Williams, 29, put up his best performance as a pro back in 2015. That season saw the former Baylor standout rack up 52 receptions for 840 yards.
