Browns TE David Njoku says he is ‘excited’ to play with Kareem Hunt

The Cleveland Browns were the first team to bite at running back Kareem Hunt who was released by the Kansas City Chiefs following a video that showed him kicking a female in a hotel hallway.

Of course, Cleveland taking Hunt under its wing caused quite the controversy on social media. Though, there are some willing to look past Hunt’s actions and just focus on football. Browns tight end David Njoku is one of those people.

“I’m really excited that he’s here,” Njoku said, per TMZ Sports. “I know he can definitely help our offense in years to come rather than just next year.”

Njoku also said he is “comfortable” playing with Hunt and hopes to help him move forward in the NFL.

As for Hunt, he still remains on the commissioner’s exempt list while the NFL investigates the domestic violence incident that was discovered this past November. At what point Hunt actually suits up and plays with his Browns’ teammates remains unknown due to a likely suspension.

Indeed, the Browns have have some key cogs in place. On the field, that now includes the NFL’s leading rusher from 2017.
