Iowa State running back David Montgomery has made the decision to leave school early and declare for the 2019 NFL Draft.

The junior running back announced his decision on Twitter Monday morning.

Considered by many to be the premier running back of the 2019 NFL Draft class, there’s a chance Montgomery hears his name called in the first round in April.

A dual-threat back with attributes that translate well to the pro game, the 5-foot-11, 216-pounder racked up 3,507 yards and 26 touchdowns from scrimmage the past three years playing at Iowa State.
