Oklahoma All-American Marquise Brown declares for the NFL Draft

Following a 2018 season in which he helped lead the Oklahoma Sooners to the College Football Playoff, All-American wide receiver Marquise Brown has announced his intention to go pro.

Brown made the announcement via his official Twitter account — thanking those around him and declaring for the 2019 NFL Draft.

Considered by some to be a first-round talent, the 5-foot-10 pass catcher recorded 75 receptions for 1,318 yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior. He also tallied over 1,000 yards in his first season in Norman back in 2017.

Some will question whether Brown has the size to play outside at the NFL level. That could hinder his draft stock.

But the speed and production has surely been there. John Ross (5-foot-11) and D.J. Moore (5-foot-10) were the last two smallish receivers to go in the first round, hearing their names called in 2017 and 2018, respectively.
