LOOK: Suns G League affiliate to dress as Rodeo Clowns for a game

For one night, the Northern Arizona Suns, the G League affiliate of the Phoenix Suns, will be Rodeo Clowns. And we mean that literally.

When they host the Texas Legends (affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks) on Saturday night, the Suns will become the Northern Arizona Rodeo Clowns. The uniforms they will wear certainly match the name.

And the uniforms will not be the only part of the night to honor the western heritage.

“The doors open at the Findlay Toyota Center,” Jacob Withee said on the team’s official website. “Fans can participate in several pregame activities, including a mechanical bull, rodeo clown face painting, and a photo booth.”

Following the game, country musician Tim Hurley will hold a concert for all who wish to attend.

As far as what brought his promotion on, Withee wrote that “The Phoenix Suns’ NBA G League affiliate looked to pay tribute to the community and western heritage in the region by being unique and fun.”

They’re definitely jumping in to that idea with both feet.
