Larry Fitzgerald hit hole-in-one playing with Barack Obama Friday

Larry Fitzgerald is having fun playing golf as he continues to debate his NFL future, and on Friday he did something remarkable while playing golf with former president Barack Obama.

The two of them were teeing it up at Seminole Golf Club when Fitzgerald hit an 8-iron from 162 yards on the par-3 13th hole.

It went right into the cup.

“I’m playing with the President of the United States and I just made a hole in one!” shouted the host to Barack Obama’s first go around The ‘Nole, Tim Rosaforte of Golf Channel shared on Friday. “This is unbelievable!”

It must be noted that Fitzgerald was granted permission from club president Jimmy Dunne to make the phone call and share the message — the club has a no cell phone rule on the course.

“It’s considered one of the hardest 18th handicap holes you could find in golf,” Rosaforte wrote. “Fitzgerald, playing to a 10.7-handicap, hit 8-iron from 162 yards. Eye witnesses described the ball rolling in like a putt. Among the high fives was the one coming from the 44th President of the U.S.”

Talk about a lifetime achievement goal. It might not get much better than that for Fitzgerald as an athlete — unless the Cardinals somehow convince him to play next year and they win it all.
