Alshon Jeffery and the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles will head to Chicago to take on his former Bears team in one of the two NFC Wild Card games this coming weekend.
Jeffery spent five highly-productive seasons as the Bears No. 1 receiver after being selected in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft. That span saw him put up 1,000-plus receiving yards two times.
But if the 28-year-old pass catcher is expecting to get a resounding ovation this weekend at Soldier Field, his comments on Wednesday about the city of Chicago won’t do the veteran any favors.
Alshon Jeffery: “I love the city of Philadelphia. Chicago is just where I was for work.” #Eagles

“I love the city of Philadelphia,” Jeffery said. “Chicago is just where I was for work.” Talk about a major burn. Jeffery isn’t necessarily going after just the Bears’ organization, he’s going after the entire city.
Yeah, Bears fans will likely receive Jeffery in the most Philadelphia of ways when Sunday comes calling in Chicago.
