Coming off one heck of a performance in a win over Alabama in the National Championship Game, star Clemson cornerback Trayvon Mullen has declared for the 2019 NFL Draft.

A junior this past season, the 6-foot-2 Mullen recorded 36 tackles, three passes defended and one interception. His lack of numbers were indicative of opposing quarterbacks avoiding him in the passing game.

Seen as a true shutdown cornerback, Mullen will likely find himself as a top-20 pick when the 2019 draft comes calling in April.

He’s a special talent and will vie with Greedy Williams and Byron Murphy to be the first defensive back off the board in the draft.

A two-time national champ with the Tigers, Mullen has nothing else to prove as an amateur. His announcement proves this in more ways than one.
